Connecting Belgian scholars, post-docs, and visiting students at Harvard and MIT — building bridges between Belgian excellence and Boston's academic community.
The Harvard-MIT Belgian Society is a Boston-based organization born from the collaboration of the Harvard Belgian Culture group and the MIT Belgian Student Club. It serves as a vital reference point and resource for Belgian post-docs, affiliates, scholars, and visiting students at Harvard or MIT, as well as their families.
The society is dedicated to three core objectives: assisting fellow Belgians arriving in Boston to ensure a smooth start to their academic journey, enabling social networking events that connect Belgians across Harvard, MIT, and other Boston-area institutions, and sharing Belgian culture and endeavors within the broader academic community.
Their work is applauded and actively supported by the Flemish, Brussels, and Walloon regional governments, reflecting the society's importance as a bridge between Belgian talent and world-class American academia.
